About the event
In this two-session (3 and 10 sept) experiential training, we explore emotional regulation with the Needs-Satisfaction model, grounded in functional analytic formulation of emotional behaviours. Emotional difficulties often emerge as interpersonal struggles and difficult emotional expressions, with withdrawal, excessive control, people-pleasing, or shame-fuelled disconnection. This workshop helps clinicians recognize and respond to these patterns in the here-and-now of the therapeutic relationship.
Participants will learn to: ✨ Identify in-session emotional avoidance (CRB1s) and shape emotionally vulnerable and flexible responding (CRB2s) through in
vivo regulation skills and reinforcement. ✨ We’ll introduce the Needs-Satisfaction Model to help you identify the functions of emotional interactions in the room. ✨ Support therapists in building flexibility to manage discomfort and intensity with client's emotional exposure. ✨ Help client express needs with precision, and connecting more fully with themselves and others.
Expect live demonstrations, practice exercises, and deep reflection on your own emotional repertoire as a healer. Whether you are just beginning…
